Gaogong Lithium was informed that Huineng Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU) with Vietnamese automobile brand VinFast recently. The two parties will establish a joint venture to jointly accelerate the commercialization of solid-state batteries in Vietnam.
According to the content of the agreement, the joint venture company will have the priority purchase right of Huineng solid-state batteries, and obtain the authorization of Huineng’s patented solid-state battery pack packaging technology MAB (Multiaxial Bipolar Packaging Technology), and be the first to produce Huineng’s CIM/CIP in Vietnam. It is reported that Huineng will be responsible for the supply of solid-state battery Inlay (a semi-finished solid-state battery cell consisting of positive and negative electrodes and solid electrolyte). The scale of the production base will reach 1-2GWh by 2022, which is sufficient to support VinFast in 2023-2024. Plans to produce solid-state battery vehicles.
